Rockford Fosgate, Hifonics and ESX new official EMMA Partner

In January 2010 Audio Design, Germany´s big Distribution for High Quality Mobile Entertainment signed a contract with EMMA international. The reason for this step is the expansion of the product lines of Rockford Fosgate, Hi Fonics and ESX into many European Nations. The 2010 international Head Judge training

The dates are fixed for February 24 - 28 at the Kaiseralm Hotel in Bischofsgrün/Germany. The schedule is to train new Head Judges and to discuss the Rules for the season 2011/2012. Of course the HJ training is a great get together for all responsibles of the EMMA Network and the according Industry. More details are available >> here

EMMATunes reloaded

Last week of July six audiophile ears had a musical get together in Regensburg: EMMA Boss Alex Klett and the two international EMMA Headjudges Costas Christopoulos and Norbert Tyka met at the Cap da pie Studios to attend the recordings of the 2009/2010 EMMA Competition CD and to listen to the first takes. Studio manager Alexander Pleines – who already realized the two last EMMA Competition CDs – gave a listening demo to the EMMA audience.

The CD will include seven new tracks which were already available to the EMMA-audience as so called “raw recordings”, still including all sequences on separate sound tracks. The advantage of this method is the possibility to adapt the tracks to their optimum for their future fields of use: The more than 700 international and national competitions in roundabout 40 EMMA member countries. Special about those EMMA Competition CDs is that instead of customizing the tracks to meet common consumer’s gusto all music is purified to maximum nativeness in order to receive the perfect basis to judge a vehicle’s sound system a the EMMA competitions.

Therefore all tracks are done without any treatment like equalizing, hall effect etc. - just pure music taken at a state of the art studio. The approximate date of issue for the new CD will be February 2009. And there is some promising news about the new CD:

There will be some really nice musical stuff on that little disc for all those who up to now refused to fancy the EMMA competition music!



Expert Category

In SQ Expert, any legal person who took a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in EMMA Amateur, PRO or Expert on a Eurofinal of the former seasons or in EMMA Advanced or Master (for 2007-2008). Furthermore, the winner (also a "legal person") of the national title in the above mentioned categories in the former seasons is qualified.

" legal person" as described in the rulebook under 2.1, 1st point does not only mean a natural person (one living human). It describes a person or a group of persons or a legal entity that can act as 'one'. This includes Associations, foundations, establishments, companies etc. etc. In no way is only one 'natural person' meant.

First international Judge training in Manila

On the weekend of Nov 24/25 the first judge training in the Phillipines took part in the nations capital Manila. With 32 participants the training was well frequented and organiser Mickey Tang was fully satisfied.

International Head Judge training March 4. to 9. 2008.

The Date for the 2008 head judge training and meeting will be from March 4 to March 9 in the Hotel Schönblick in Fichtelberg. The price for particpation is 520.- Euro. This includes five nights in the Hotel in twinbed rooms, All food and the participation fee. Ground Zeros new Measurement System GZMS4 Car get EMMA License

For the future EMMA will use in addition to the Audio Control a second measurement system which was developed in Europe. In corporation with Ground Zero EMMA developed the GZMS4 Car which is a Laptop based unit. The advantage is the fact that it offers an output for screens to higher the visibility for the audience on the competition field. The second advantag is that it is possible to measure two cars simultanuos in real time.

New EMMA Association in Ukraine

After now four Years of EMMA in Ukraine under the leadership of the Car + Music Magazine it is time now to establish a own independent body running the EMMA competitions in the Country. In the plan for 2007 are already 5 Events in Major Cities and Dimitry Matveev, the east european Supervisor of EMMA, promised to support the events with exchanging judges and sending team members to help the organisation growing fast. Also a new Internet Platform is in work and will include all information about the activities of EMMA Ukraine.The leaders of EMMA in Ukraine will be Igor Podoljak and Vadim Petrovsky.

International Judge training for Asian Partners

A great experience was the first Asia trip of the EMMA Team in 2007. The scheduled trainings in Bangkok/Tahiland and Kuala Lumpur/malaysia have been a full success. Especially the fact that participants from many Nations followed the invitations of the Thai CAA and AMMA in Malysia is a signal for the will to build up a network of Associations. Also the new chinese leader Peter Chang attended this training with a group of 10 Judges to get updated to the new judging system. In total more than 100 judges were trained from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Philipines and Indonesia. Also for the Korean Team leaded by Mr. Chung it was the first education under EMMA and they performed great so that the expectations are positiv all over. DVD Audio is avaialable

Now also the new Competition DVD Audio is available. In corporation with Alpine Europe the best recording of a competition source ever was arranged. The DVD Audio includes exactly the same content like the regular SQ CD but with a resolution of 24 bit on 96 Khz. It is the first DVD Audio mastered on the same analogue material then the CD so it makes a direct comparison possible in even the smallest details of the sound scale. The official price is 15.- Euro. For 2007 the use in competition is allowed in Master and Expert categories.
