The second time
EMMA did it again and it was great: First of all thanks to all the People who made this wonderful Event possible specially the friends from Pasca and the entired Judge Team and the staff around it. With a amount of 102 Competitors from 17 Countries and 32 Judges from 12 Membership Associations is it again the biggest Car Audio Competition on the Continent. Miss Sonia Draga arranged us a Hall with almost 5000sqm to organize this Event, so that the really bad weather could not disturb us in anyway, special thanks to her. The work for us began on Friday morning with the Head Judges Conference to finish the new Rulebook. In our Plan we had to be ready until 5 in the evening but as always the time was not enough, so we finished at eight. Throughout this conversation with a great spirit, we created a new Frame for the Competition in the next two Years. The participants on this meeting were Sabina Cravero/Italy, Jacek Kwiatkowski/Poland, Dimitry Matveev/Russia, Reinier Wolf and Ronald de Witt/Netherlands, Aleksandr Ostapenko/Ukraine, Chris Körbel and I/Germany. The result will be available in January 2003. At eight on Friday the Judges came together to get Information about Details of the Event and the Final Teams were named. After that all company had a little Party at the Hotel. The Idea to start with registration on Friday was very helpful because we could really start with judging at 9:30 on Saturday morning. It is not necessary to talk about the level of the cars because the level on Euro Championships is the highest possible at all. Very interesting was some conversation i had with responsibles from several Countries and Associations, and also the Industry people showed great interest on EMMA events, so that we can hope to get more support in the future. The Back office was controlled by a german Team with Peter Fuhrmann and Chris Körbel. The Head Judges were Sabina Cravero/Sound and Jaroslaw Repec/Install, Event Directors were Jacek Kwiatkowski/Poland and Dimitry Matveev/Russia. In the afternoon i had to present the new Ideas and, what all those people are eagerly waiting for, the first sample of the new Test CD to Members of the Press and Sponsors of EMMA. The content was Infos about the changes of the Rulebook, the start of the new SPL Series, the Plan for the next Season and last but not least the 2003 Euro Finals in St. Petersburg/Russia. Therefore the responsible organizer of the Show Miss Victoria Senioukhina gave us Information about the conditions and to our all surprise she guaranteed that the complete Cost for the Ferry forth and back from Rostock/Germany to Hanko/Finland will be payed by EMMA Russia but you will find Details in a few Days here under News. After finishing the first Day at about 19:00 all Team went to a Party arranged by Miss Draga at the exhibition Center where we got a fantastic Buffet and spectacular Bar with professionals in Barkeeping. A famous polish Jazz Band gave the visitors a impression of their knowledge and the people had some fun at all. Because of a missunderstanding not so many Competitors joined that Party and so it ends a little bit earlier then usual (last Year 5°°) which was very good because the real tough Job came on Sunday with the Expert and Pro Categories. The first impression i had was how is it possible to find out which of those wonderful Installations is the best and i can guarantee that i never saw so many fantastic Installations on one place. Because of a problem with a break open at the Cars of Mads Nyegaard from Denmark and Reiner Wolf from Netherlands the judging process needed almost two Hours longer then expected so that the Price giving took part at half past nine instead of eight which was planed. On the Ceremony were so many emotions that some of the Vistors and Winners start to cry. At least we had to name 14 Champions and also the best of Installation who was again Lars Karlson from Sweden and the best of Sound who was
Vadim Eremonta from Ukraine. At Final result we can talk about a very good Event and must notice that the east european Countries did a great Job because it was the first time that the mayority of Titels was going to them (9 of 14 Titles to Cars from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary). In anyway we will do it again so

see you in St. Petersburg
