Located in center of Romania, Brasov, an old town,
very close to the Dracula Castle - named so after the Vlad Tepes Ruler,
in reality called Castle Bran... Brasov was the host for our second EMMA
event in Romania. The event, planned for 2 days, 1-2.12.2006, was held
at the International Trade Center. A great location, almost new, which
seemed to be the perfect place for our event. The schedule of the event
was as follows:
Friday:
All day long two projectors were running on right and left side of the stage/back
office showing to everybody the concept of EMMA competitions in Europe. We
used the EMMA Promo DVD and also the Russian DVD with the 2006 EMMA Russia
events. On the other projector was showed the presentation of our 6th place
in Rookie Unlimited in Bern Euro Finals 2006! This car and the other Romanian
car that compete in Bern in Pro Category - were showed off all the day long,
in the front center of the stage. Every visitor, interested in EMMA competitions
and good high quality car sound systems, had the possibility to see, get informations
regarding the concept of the car and how the system was build, and also very
important, had the chance to listen to the system. Everybody was thrilled about
this. We wanted a full day of promoting the EMMA competitional concept in a
very attractive way. Also, it was a full day opened for the competitors who
wanted to register from Friday. In the evening we wanted to have a contest,
like it became regular in other EMMA big events, offering subwoofers to those
who could sustain it with the arms up, at the shoulder level. In the evening
our friends from EMMA Bulgaria came and after they saw the location we went
to have dinner together in an old traditional Romanian restaurant.
Saturday:
The day begun at 8:30, with the arrival of the competitors that wanted to take
part only at the competition. Even if we announced that the limit hour for
entering and register is 10:30, because this event was not counting any more
for our 2006 EMMA National Championship, but just as a real contructive and
attractive way to promote and to get the people familiarized with our concept
of SQ and SPL competitions, we permitted the access for registration until
late around 13:00, in this way other 5 cars had the possibility to join us.
After the full registration of the competitors, we immediately prepared the
categories and the judging process began. We had 25 cars, 15 in SQ category
and 10 on SPL. Even if there was at one point some problems with the executive
director of the International Trade Center, we managed to change the plan
on the way and immediately two other installation judges started to judge
the categories which haven not been judged so far. After finishing the judging
process at 18:30 and printing the diplomas, we asked gently the competitors
to move the cars outside, in the interior yard of the building. Everything
went well at the end and even the executive director of the ITC came and
congratulated the EMMA Romania Team for the great job done that day. At 11:00
we were leaving the building, with all the materials loaded in the cars,
and because of the strssing job Dan Nita was out of order, also Radu Cheveresan,
Forin Cristea, Calin Popa, Marian Gadau, Claudiu Seuleanu, left home after
packing. The Bulgarian friends decided not to join the Team for another good
dinner in a exclusive place in Brasov.
On Sunday morning, after breakfast, all visit together the Dracula Castle and
after a friendly arms shaking the rest of the people took their own way back
home.. The event was a success one and also the feedback is great!
Now it is time to relax for Christmas,
