International Head Judge training in February

From February 24 to 28 the international Head Judge training will take place in Germany. In addition to the educational programm a conference about the development of EMMA on a global level will be organised. The deadline for registration is January 31.

EMMA Finals in Thailand

Thailand International Championship 2009 started since May 2009. The second leg which was called “Southeast Asia Challenge” was organised in July in Hatyai, the southern city of Thailand near the boarder of Malaysia. As usual. Cars from Malaysia and Singapore were driving up to Hatyai for this competition as most of Thai cars were driving down from Bangkok Area and some came from farther Northeast of Thailand for about 1,500 kms. for a one way journey. In total more than 90 entries signed in for the event. The third leg was done in Bangkok area in September with some surprise cars from Singapore went up, 2 cars went for rematches as newcomers from Singapore Pioneer team were surprise to most everyone. It was a blast.

The Grand Final to find the real champions was moved to a bigger and more attractive location in Bangkok, Central Plaza Rama 2. There is a park beside a huge shopping center with very nice ambience and a water fountain and recreation area for the whole family. The different to the commen events has been a special version of the ESPL format which is called “ESQL”. The idea was to have small installation judging with 45 points. Then the both SPL measurements, and what was added was SQ listening from outside the vehicle, actually 3 meters behind the bumper of the car. 2 SQ judges stand and listen to EMMA SQ CD track 4 and Track 7 for Tonal and Listening pleasure. ESQL got attention from most attendee to see this cool competition. Tthe spectators of the final in Bangkok came from every where, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Mynmar (Burma) and belief it or not France! It was the real first time that an international audience took part on an Far East EMMA event and it is the start of a more intensive corporation between the Asian EMMA Organisations. The first step is done to have a real Asian Final in the future.

International Kick Off 2010 at the AMICOM in Leipzig/Germany

Since the long tradition of the international EMMA Kick Off during the Sinsheim Show ended EMMA has been searching for new alternative to that great and established event. Now the solution was found: The new carmedia Expo AMICOM will be the home for the international EMMA Kick Off. The AMICOM organisers launched their new english Homepage where all relevant Information about the Loction, Hotels etc. can be found. The registration for competitors will start in February.

EMMA Austria Finals

Once more, the national EMMA Finals from Austria were helt at the PS Show in Wels, well known from last years Eurofinals. EMMA occupied the hall 1 and filled it with the best sounding and loudest cars from Austria and guests from Germany. For the first time in this saison, also EMMA Racing was judged. Even if it wasn't possible to do the racing track - we and also the security remembered some spectacular "stunts" last year ;-), the competitors were quite delighted and the tuned cars were highlights for the visitors. Within two competition days all cars were judged and the price giving ceremony startet as planed. Indeed it started with a big surprise. Unlike the other years champions and vice champions didn't get ordinary cups. With big assistance of the sponsors KA-Systems and Musik&Design baskets from JL-Audio serie W6 subwoofers were imported from USA, adopted and pimped up as trophies for the champions. Even if everyone wanted that special prices, they were reserved for the best cars per class.

So the final was really the height of the season, a season with 14 (!) events during the year with cars getting better and better. High increase in experience classes will make it more difficult for oldies in the next years, but this is part of the game and will increase national competition and garentee an exciting new saison 2010.

EMMA Vietnam Kicks Off

EMMA became first car audio competition in Vietnam!

Starting as an official national organization of EMMA since the beginning of 2009, EMMA Vietnam has started to carry out continuously EMMA activities in Vietnam such as Judges training, constructing EMMA Vietnam website, regular offline meeting and on 31/10/2009, EMMA Vietnam held “EMMA first car audio contest in Vietnam ’09” at Sunrise City Gallery, Ho Chi Minh City. The event only lasted for a day but it still successfully leaves a serious impression to the mobile media industry with nearly 2,000 visitors.

With 17 cars competing at 7 EMMA SQ, Multimedia and ESPL classes, this was the very first audio competition in Vietnam of any kind so it eventually drew a lot of attention from the industry, the installers, the media, and of course the audience. Seeing as the location was too spacious for only EMMA competitor’s cars, EMMA Vietnam also included a super car show for the audience’s best interests with 20 hottest girls around. The purpose of this event is to ultimately promote the presence of EMMA in Vietnam, provide sufficient EMMA information for competitors, and attract a large amount of attention. The event can’t be successful without the support from Emma Thailand Team, experiences from Emma Thailand was really helpful for EMMA Vietnam to manage the future EMMA events.

Eurofinals Rotterdam, Deadline without limit

Watt, dB, amps, speakers, screens, cables… The 9th edition of the EMMA Eurofinals gathered 242 cars and competitors aiming to take one of 75 trophies and great fame, which will last at least for one year – sometimes forever! For four days Rotterdam’s Ahoy exhibition centre and its annual 100 % Tuning Show was the host of this year’s final judgment defining the best sounding, the loudest, the fastest and the most exciting technical perfections on four wheels.

German Finals 2009 Hamburg

Just one week before the Euros in Rotterdam, the German Nationals were organised at the Hamburg Expo on the show called Car Style. Already the second time at Germany´s biggest Harbour City the more than 100 participants showed all the best around the carmedia installations. The qualification during the season on 10 locations accross the country was hard and the best 12-15 had been invited to join the finals inside the Hamburg Messe Hall B1. The Hall was exclusiv for EMMA and the Sponsors leaded by the main Sponsor Pioneer Germany followed by Brax/Helix, Clarion, German Maestro and Standartplast. The well known Pioneer Showtruck was the event stage where the ESPL competitions as well as the ceremony were held.

EMMA Ukraine Finals 2009

After a season with extraordenary good results in the event organisation and number of competitors the best of all now met in western Ukraine major city Lvov to find out the best of the categories and who is going to be in Rotterdam. In Lvov City a great and spectacular event was the frame for that final competition.

The 2009 Eurofinals in Rotterdam

The official T-Shirts for the Eurofinals 2009 are ready and available at the EMMA Infodesk in Rotterdam. The orange shirt with the white star on the backside will cost 10.- Euro and the amount is limited to 100 pcs.

All competitors which arrive on Wednesday will find an opportunity to clean their cars in front of the Hall powered by Maguiars of the Netherlands. This service is available from 13°° to 18°° and is free of charge. In addition to that there are various washing areas around the Ahoy center in Rotterdam.

EMMA Finland Finals

The Finish Nationals took place at the Hifi & Tuning Show in Oulu in the far north of the Country. The best 50 cars of the season have been invited to participate at the Finals. Even some Russians came over to compete against the Finish elite. All cars have been judged on Saturday so that the ceremony was in the evening on a very well organised Party in one of the leading Hotels of the City. Afterwards there was Big Fun while singing Karaoke and discovering the local Alcohol Quality, even Weissbeer was found for the exclusive rate of 7.20 Euro. Never the less the guests enjoyed the evening much and some stayed until the Night Clubs and Discotheks closed. On Sunday the best cars from the previous day were judged again by three different judges to find out the best of Sound and the best of Installation. Many thousands of visitors came to the exhibition to see the hottest modified cars of the country and the Car Enthusiasts showed impressivly why they have the image as great carstylers. A fine event in the far North and a place where is worth to visit.

EMMA Germany national finals in Hamburg

The second time the National finals will be in the Metropol in Germany´s north. The Date is from October 2 to October 4. More than 100 participants are expected to join in for this final event at the Car Style Exhibition at the City´s Expo Centre. EMMA international Slovenia finals

SLOVENIA FINALS– EMMA 2009 will be on 5. and 6. september 2009 in Slovenia and will be together with Auto motor show Ljubljana which is the biggest auto moto tuning fair in Slovenia.

New record in Odessa

The main Ukrainian Harbour Odessa was the place to be on the last weekend in July. Along the main promenade of the city a fantastic open air show was presented with tuning Cars, Radio and TV , Dancing acts, Kids entertainment and of course EMMA Ukraine. The highest number of participants ever counted on a national event were competing in the SQ, Multi Media, ESPL and EMMA Racing formats. The total amount were 126 which had a real great time with up to 45° celsius in the shining sun. More then 10 000 Visitors were at the place and it would have been even more if there wouldn´t have been a big thunderstorm on the Saturday night which destroyed 6 Gazeobs and more. But even that didn´t impressed the enthusiasts and they just went ahead until the ceremony. EMMA Ukraine is doing big steps and is the most growing Sound Off Organisation in Europe. We hope to see many of the cars at the Eurofinals in Rotterdam.

Judgetraining in Vietnam

On July 26/27 two international Head Judges from Norway and Sweden flow to Vietnam to support the first EMMA Judge training. 13 participants were educated to be official EMMA judges and to make the first event a success. The plan is to have the premiere sound off end of October.

Industry meeting at the EMMA Headquarter

The second weekend of July was an essentially important day for EMMA and a remarkable moment to encourage the key representatives of the Car Media industry. For Friday July 10th they all were invited to gather at the Headquarter in Neumarkt to discuss the current situation on the CarMedia market. The 30 participants of this significant meeting were representing more than 40 Brands of the market. The day started with the presentation of facts and dates around the EMMA activities during the first half-year of 2009. Followed by a presentation of the latest Gfk Statistics from June 2009, the list of topics delivered versatile insight into the market situation. During the afternoon there was plenty of time to discuss several matters with everyone present. The most important topic of this discussion was the future of the Car + Sound Show where the consens was that, particularly in consideration of the challenging market situation, an exhibition for car infotainment products is still of great importance to manufacturers and distributors. The question was if it would make sense to keep up a stand alone Car Media expo or to merge with another big show around cars. A group of representatives from the Industry together with EMMA is now working on concepts related to this issue.
The following days were again the hot spot for the competitors when the stage 6 of the German SQ competiton was held around the building. In the evening a unique show was inside the EMMA Academy´s Installer Hall. The EMMA All Stars played together and Alex Pleines, the mixing engineer was listen several cars to give useful hints how it should sound. The EMMA All Stars are the Studio Musicians who are playing on the EMMA Competition discs and live they have been a hammer.

EMMA Sound Off in Ludersdorf/Austria

Austrians most important open air tuning meeting is held every year in Ludersdorf/Styria. Ludersdorf is known to be open for all makes and a very friendly atmosphere betweens german-french-italian-japanese- ...car drivers. The premises offers a driving safety course which was used for a smart drift challange. KTM showed off some x-bows and Lina van de Mars, a german tv tuning moderator, was on a short visit in Styria. In total the organiser reports 925 tuned cars and more than 4000 visitors - and in the middle: The tent of EMMA Austria. EMMA judged arround 30 cars to even parts SQ and ESPL and some MM. As the mood was nice (as always on Austrian events ;-) ) and we found some free timeslots, EMMA measured additional 25 cars in SPL-only, just for entertainment of the visitors. As the organiser heared from that intermidiate session, he sponsored some additional trophies and surpriesed these competitors during the price giving ceremony. So in total it was again a very fine event, and we are looking forward to Ludersdorf 2010!

EMMA Sound and Tuning in Bulgaria

The open Air event was placed near Pleven city on a big carting race piste. A total 100 cars equaly devided in SQ and ESPL was participating at the great event. A huge program was offered to the visitors filled with events like Burnouts, Stunt Show, Dancing and of course a big Disco Party in the evening. EMMA Bulgaria´s event was again the hot spot of all carmedia fans at the Balkan Area.

EMMA Norway Gatebil event in Vaalerbanen

Special EMMA Racing contest in Ukraine

a very special competition was organised by EMMA UKraine at Cherkassy City which is located just in the geographical center of Ukraine on the Dnepr river. Together with the major´s office of the city EMMA arranged a Racing competition inside the City in a Park. The idea was to have a great show with cars for the celebration of the city which is done every year in June so there was a special City Cup for the winners, which was handed by the City´s major in person. A great honour for all and of course also for the EMMA Team. In total 20 participants took part and more than 20 000 visitors watched the spectacular race which was going on for half a day with lots of subevents like body painting dancing and live music. The organisers confirmed already that this event will be again in 2010 same place same time.

Tuningexpo Saarbrücken/Germany

The fourth time EMMA was part of one of the biggest tuning events in the West of Germany, The Tuningexpo in Saarbrücken, close to the French border. More than 70 participants from 7 Nations took part in the competition, some even from the USA because the Rammstein Airbase is close by. 1000 modified cars in 12 Halls and EMMA in the middle of it to show the 30 000 visitors everything important about car entertainment. A special highlight was the sound quality judging for the Master categories which was not done with the usual EMMA disc but instead with Michael Jackson´s Thriller. A very interesting experiment with an astonishing result. The scores have been very simialr to the previous results with the EMMA Disc. Of course this is only working if the judges know the titles used very well and accept some specials at Jackson´s recordings. It was a great weekend in Saarbrücken and there is even space for more, so make your remarks in the 2010 calendar.

Swiss Tuning Show Geneve

One major event in Switzerland was held on a very prominent location, the Geneva Expo Centre where always the famous spring car show takes place. This time it was the place to see the hottest modified vehicles (850) and a EMMA competition. On a total space of 35 000 sqaure meters the organisers showed many activities like drift challenge, modelshows etc. EMMA Swiss was inviting the international scene to come to the beautiful lake in the Alps and many came from Germany, France and even one from the UK. The resposible were satisfied and they are sure that next year the party will continue.

Opeltreffen Oschersleben/Germany

EMMA Germany had a great competition at the largest Opel meeting on the globe, at the DTM racetrack in Oschersleben near Magdeburg. 70 competitors, 20 000 Opel/Vauxhall cars and 60 000 visitors have attended the event on the weekend June 6/7. Burn Outs, Drift challenge, quartermile race, party tents, live acts and of course EMMA with it´s own Partystage at the burnout area. Gatebil Festival in Rudskogen - EMMA at Norways Nirvana for a huge Sound and Tuning community

Hot cars and cute Babes on a sunny-perfect spring weekend gave once again proof: The conjunction of Sound & Tuning is becoming more and more popular everywhere! And even though most Scandinavian tuning freaks still live their credo “less weight means more speed”, Tuning Events like the Norwegian Gatebil Festival also became a favoured platform for many mobile media suppliers to present their up-to-the-minute products and technologies.

Surrounded by spectacular tuning cars, breathtaking driving performances and ten thousands Scandinavian tuning aficionados the Norwegian EMMA association held their third 2009 Sound Off at the Gatebil Event in Rudskogen and built a great stage for Norwegian competitors to perform their cars to victory.

At this event the new EMMA Norway Tour Bus was on the road for the first time and had a great premier as headquarter on wheels for the EMMA team. The competition cars around the EMMA Bus and hundreds of fast and crazy Scandinavian hot rods - which had to pass the Sound Off Area to get to the race track - staged a true conjunction of sound and tuning.

What’s Gatebil?
Gatebil is an exhibition organizing track days with streetcars, show driving with extreme streetcars, drifting competitions, social parties, camping with show and parties, hot babeshows and of course several stands displaying accessories, nearly everything needed to get a hot ride! More than 100.000 visitors and participants attend the Gatebil arrangements every year, and nearly 2000 cars participate during the exhibitions. Gatebil events allow both, street legal cars and racecars. The next Gatebil Festival will be from June 26th to 28th at the famous Mantorp Race Track.

2009 EMMA European Championship will be in Rotterdam

After the cancellation of the agreements with the Valencia Expo where the finals have been planned for this year a long search started in February all over Europe to find a location for the most important competition on the continent. The search was successful and now the Finals will be in the Ahoy Expo Center in Rotterdam where the 100% Tuning Show is the frame for this important event. The date of the competition is from October 8 to 11, the public days are October 10/11. This guarantees a quiet surrounding for the SQ and Multi Media competitors on Thursday and Friday. ESPL, EMMA Racing and the final round with the best six will be on the weekend in a designated area. The EMMA Area will be in two Halls plus an outside space. Last years main Sponsor Pioneer Europe already declared the location as great and confirmed to continue their support like the previous seasons. Also the Dutch EMMA Team is very exited to host the Championships and promised any necessary support for the competitors from all over Europe. Further Information will follow soon.

Judge training in Hungary

On the 16th of May the international EMMA judge training took place in Hungary. The training happened with Mr Werner Rothschopf Austrian international head Judge who led and supervised it. Beside the repetition of the general and basic rules the new rules had a important position to get to know and to acquire them. The judges could get the information about the new CD with circumstances of the recording and of course with the fair scoring. Beside the verbal part of the training the participants had to evaluate two different cars to show there knowledge in practice. During the training the atmosphere was very pleasant and 18 judges got the licence for the 2009 EMMA season in Hungary. The HUMMA expesses its thanks to Mr. Alex Klett and Mr. Werner Rothschopf for their help in connection with the arranging of it and at the same time we whish succesful season to all EMMA members.

EMMA Slovenia straight ahead

Mid of May is always the time for the Slovenian first EMMA Competition starting the national championship 2009 in Ajdovšcina. The event has a long tradition as motorsport challenge and also EMMA is a part of it since years there was official Kick Off for the Enduro-Cross Race Challenge. Due to the great weather and spectacular show the crowd was fantastic, the competition went smootly, and the after show party in Vertigo Fashion Club was awsome. Great in tradition, so come an visit next time.

National Judge training in Bulgaria

The second week of May the National Bulgarian Judges have been invited to get updated to the new CD and Rulebook. EMMA Bulgaria leader Bobby Radoslavov invited EMMA CEO Alex Klett to come to Sofia for supporting the Head Judes during the training and gave some impressions about the international standards and quality of the competitor cars. Many detailed questions about the SQ disc and the way to use it came from the participants which showed a great interest on these news. Of course also the community factor was an issue so the team spent lots of time together discovering the nightlife in the beautiful city Capitol while continuing the discussions about rules competition and the surrounding to that. Also editors of the press took part to get a better understanding what EMMA is about and made an interview with EMMA´s CEO which will be published in the biggest Car Magazin, Auto Bild. During the training days it came out that Bulgarian competitors are interested in becoming more international experience so the plan was borne to manage an international competition in the south east of Europe to support the get together effect and raise the quality of the carmedia systems.

Tuningworld Bodensee

The first event in Germany 2009 took place at one of the largest tuning events in Europe, the Tuningworld Bodensee at the border to Switzerland and Austria. More than 100 000 Visitors came to see the latest trends and news around modified cars and first time EMMA was there with an international competition. In corporation with Pioneer, DLS, German Maestro, Digital Designs, JL Audio, Kicker, MB Quart, ESX and Hifonics EMMA organised the kick off in that perfect surrounding.

Big fun in Ukraine

The first competition of the year was taking place from 25 - 26 april, in Kharkov City. More than 15 000 Visitors came to see the Ukrainian competition cars and to party at the Sport Palace Expo. The big amount of more than 100 participants which signed in for the event was hard to handle for the judgeteam but they got ready in time and the ceremony on Sunday evening was an emotional moment for all. In addition to the national competitiors also EMMA friends from Russia and Belarus came to take part in Kharkov where great action around the EMMA competition was managed. Showgirls, Crazycars, Motorcycles, Live Music created a fantastic spirit and big fun for all the audience. EMMA Ukraine organiser Evgeny Kostenko said that this was the best event in Ukraine so far and it sets standards for the future. A kick of with 100% fun factor.

Season Kick Off in Austria

Contemporaneous to the Car & Sound the kick offs for Southern Europe took place in Austria. The traditional "louder" Upper Austria was homeplace for the first ESPL Event during the Carparade09 in Ried, and the results from the competitores let us look smiling in the upcoming season with new dB top scores.

In parallel the 3rd anniversary of the Alps Adriatic Cup was held during the Auto & Bike in Klagenfurt. Even if this years kick off couldn't offer as much participants than last year, competitors from Austria and Italy found together to start the saison. Davide Coppa introduced with fabolous 149,9 dB that his VW Passat will be one of the loudest in the South.
Obviously for the soundclasses was, that not all competion cars were finished during the long winter. So it was not a surprise, that cars - already known from last saison - took away the trophies whereas the newcomers have to invest more time on their projects, improove their installs and adjust their settings. So, we can await a complete mix up of results on the next event and a thrilling carmedia season 2009.

Bilsport Custom Motor Show Jönköping 2009

Like every year on eastern the swedish sound off season starts at the first big custom car event of the year in the Elmia Exibition Center Jönköping. On that show you can find almostly every kind of customized vehicles from motorcycles to trucks. And so it was no surprise that EMMA Sweden was an traditional part of that show. In a booth in Hall B were two master competition cars on display, so the visitors can come close to take a look in the cars, listen to them and ask an kind of questions.Nearly 100.000 visitors used the opportunity to see all that crazy cars that were on display. In Hall A was held the traditional swedish EMMA Kick Off. Over 50 Starters in all different categories from Norway, Germany and Sweden took part to collect the first qualification points on the season in Scandinavia and carry home the Trophies.

The exihibition was crowned by special theme shows around Cars and Bikes, this year it a was a small collection of the products form the world famous german custom bike builder Markus Walz and some well known moviecars like the blues mobile, the K.I.T.T., a car form the fast and the furious, the batmobile and the DeLorean with amazing flux compensator from back to the future to name only a few. A traditional event with great visitors and big Party.

EMMA Turkey is on the way

After the new affiliates from Istanbul get educated at the international Head Judge Training they immediately started to prepare themselves and EMMA in Turkey. From the 15th-17th april they started their first proper judge training to prepare themselves for the new season. So they invited René Krosse-Kraft for some lessons in installation. The training itself was not very crowed, only 6 guys joined it at Berk Hifi in the asian part of Istanbul. That shop is owned by the well known turkish EMMA competitor Murat Illeri. It was a great chance to test there a lot of different equipment and to discuss the new edition of the rulebook in every detail. We did the pratical training in the newest installation of Murat Ileri and his employees, a 1998 BMW 540i with a lot of High Quality components. The plan is to bring this car to Bodensee event to see the actual status on the competition level. In the end all participants had learnd a lot and a good time. A special thank you goes to the new turkish head judges Murat Uludogan and Ahmet Gurdeniz. I m sure we all will hear a lot more good news from Turkiye.

EMMA UK kicks off with new record

The weekend of March 21/22 saw the 2009 seasons’ opener for EMMA UK. Holding with tradition, the event took place at Auto Audio Installations, Park Royal, London, and drew a record number of competitors. Over 40 cars were entered into 15 categories, the most at a UK event for more than 5 years and nearly twice as many as last year. The majority were competing for the first time ever which demonstrates the rapidly increasing awareness and popularity of the EMMA competition format. Car Audio specialist, Highdown, ran an open evening earlier in the year which resulted in them bringing 12 customer cars along and they all had a fine time and added great atmosphere to the proceedings.

EMMA Thailand educates national Judgeteam in Bangkok

The EMMA Judge training for the new rules and CD 2009 in Bangkok, March 20/21, was exciting for everyone concern. This two full days training were valuable to all attendanceis due to direct questions and anwers. It was done in "Thai" the local language and all new EMMA Rulebook 2009 Thai language version. There was no need to spend time on translation which would have consumed more than 50% of the training time. This is due to the fact that EMMA invite all Affiliates to send judges to the international Head Judge training in Germany in February and the Thai Association decided to send Somkiat Pookayaporn to get qualified to train others.
The first day was done on General rules and Multimeadia with the corporation from one of the Sponsor "Pioneer Thailand" with their equipment of Plasma and Blueray. Then in the afternoon the Installation rulebook was the subject.
On Sunday the training started stricktly with Sound Quality which was planned to be finished before lunch but because of many questions regarding the new CD there was a request to resume after lunch and continue the instruction. Then there were Q & A about judging. After "Coffee break" in the afternoon all 29 attendees were paired up and divided into 4 groups with each group assigned to a particular car. Each pair went with his and her own score sheet on hand to score the car they were in. After all was finished a discussion and explanation about each cars value in points was leaded by Somkiat who assigned 2 experiend EMMA SQ judges to judge on these 4 cars before the training and told them what the experienced judges score were. Now the season can come and all competitors can expect to have a proper judgement according the international standards of EMMA.

International Competition in Rimini

International Head Judge training in Bischofsgrün

Again the HJ training was a great success. More then 60 participants from more then 20 Nations took part on the training which was first time in Bischofsgrün instead of Fichtelberg. The reason for shifting the event was the bigger size of the new Hotel. The premiere with the new CD´s for SQ and ESPL and the according rules was desperate awaitetd by most of the guests, because of the short time until the season starts. The highlight was when mixing engineer Alex Pleines explained how the CD´s are recorded and why it was don that way. Later he anwsered all questions of the Head Judges. A perfect training with more detailed information then ever before. On the Friday only practical training have been done in smaller groups. Of course also the "Old Mill Party" was kept as the hot spot of entertainment . Mr Hai from Vietnam gave a perfect show about how Karaoke works and the Croatian Party Animal Nino showed the European Version with Heavy Metal Karaoke. Of course the Team Vodka Lovers was in charge of the Bar.
As a new Idea EMMA invited the Partners from the Industry to meet in Bischofsgrün to discuss the general development of EMMA, future projects and the options of increasing the visibility of Car Entertainment. On Thursday and Friday the discussions lead to the result that the focus and message of EMMA should be extended to become a platform for carmedia. The very interesting discussion was appreciated by all participants and it is the plan now to work on new strategies and meet again soon.

EMMA organises Supercars Show at the new Car + Sound in Cologne

Instead of organising the Kick off at the car + Sound EMMA will present 10 actual European Champions or Vize - Champions at a special show area. The moving from Sinsheim to Cologne is also accompanied by a change in the concept. The idea is to have more show acts on the weekend and during the dealers days the manufacturers will have their focus fully on the business relationships. For Thursday and Friday the EMMA Academy will show a couple of technological news on the EMMA booth in Hall 2. Also special workshops are planed.

2009 international Head Judge training and Industryforum

The new Rulebook and the production of the new SQ and ESPL CD´s forces all to get updated to these new materials used for the EMMA competitions. All actual Head Judges loose their current status. The place is changing to Bischofsgrün/Germany, the date is from February 26th to March 1st 2009.

EMMA would like to embed the industry forum into this head judge training. Invited are Manufacturers, Distributors and Press to join this unique meeting with all important responsible of the international EMMA community to carry out new impulses and combined efforts to revive the car audio and electronics marked.

Judgetraining in Spain

The first in Europe to be educated with the new SQ Disc and the according rules have been the Spanish Judges. The EMMA board and a hand full of Judges went to Valencia to attend the training and see the Valencia Motor Show, a designated place for an upcoming Eurofinal. During the meetings with the expo it was stated out that both sides have a high interest to manage already the 2009 Finals in the beautiful city at the mediterranian see. The agreement so far is to clear a couple of details within the next weeks and have a final decision in January.

The Emssi Institute ( >> www.emssiweb.com) which is the Spanish EMMA Academy Partner offer a bunch of technical and marketing trainings for Installers. In addition 25 Competition- and Democars were presented to show the visitors the latest trends and innovations around the mobile entertainment.
